I welcome patients to the practice (by phone and in person) and ensure that everyone has the most positive orthodontic experience in our office. I wear many hats, including managing the overall workflow of all members of the team, and coordinating treatment, billing, and social media communications. Most importantly, I make sure that our patients have all of their questions answered and help to make them feel like members of our extended family. I love interacting with our patients and their families every day. It is so great to share in their excitement when they are either beginning their treatment or finishing up and showing off their new smile!
I have lived in New Hampshire for 25 years with my husband, two adult children, and our dog, Daisy Mae. My family and I love spending time together outdoors barbecuing and relaxing by the pool.
Certified Dental Assistant / Orthodontic Assistant / Clinic Coordinator
As our clinic coordinator, I ensure the clinic operates smoothly and each member of the clinical team consistently supports Dr. Sousa as we work together to create beautiful smiles! I am also responsible for patient care and education, ordering supplies for the clinic, and helping Christa at the front desk when necessary. Since I work hands-on with our patients, I get to see their smiles change first-hand. It’s an amazing thing to witness!
I reside in Salem with my two young children and our cat Jolly. I enjoy taking them to their extracurricular activities. My daughter is on a competitive gymnastics team and my son is involved with karate. I volunteer at their elementary school and am an active member of Saints Mary and Joseph Parish here in Salem where I also assistant-teach third-grade faith formation. On our off time we enjoy traveling to Ft. Myers Beach, Florida and Disney!
I am directly involved in caring for our patients and educating them on treatment options that are recommended by Dr. Sousa. I started my journey in the dental field in periodontics, then shortly after joined Dr. Sousa’s team in orthodontics. My favorite part of my job is being able to see so many patients throughout the day. The fast pace of our office is exciting, and working with such a great team makes my job fun! Our team has a great time together; we support each other and we have great communication. Dr. Sousa is always up for teaching me new things, Tara is wonderful in the clinic, and Christa answers any administrative questions I may have. I’m so proud to be a part of this team!
I love to travel, especially to my happy place: the beach house in the summer in Salisbury, Massachusetts. I’ve grown up with a love for the ocean. On the weekends I can be found trying new restaurants, especially if they have sushi! I spend most of my time with family and friends, and although I have no children yet, I love being around my beautiful niece and nephew. Before starting my journey in the dental field, I provided behavior therapy for children on the autism spectrum and worked in childcare for six years.
